All of Albion’s baths are made from our unique amalgam of self reinforced cast resin and mineral mixture, in short a reconstituted stone, which has a chemical glaze which we call Iso Enamel.

Iso Enamel is tougher than cast iron and fireclay. It is, however, nowhere near as heavy, therefore there is generally no need to reinforce floors when installing a bath from Albion. A six foot long Albion Iso Enamel traditional roll top bath will weigh in the region of 60-70Kg, whilst a comparative cast iron bath would weigh 200Kg. Similarly one of Albion’s Bull Nose Baths would weigh between 80-220Kg, whereas an original Fireclay bath could weigh up to 450Kg.

Albion’s Iso Enamel gives the look and gloss feel of cast iron and fireclay baths but without the coldness and heat loss associated with these traditional bath manufacturing materials. This gloss feel sets Albion’s products far above other manufacturers, who use acrylic as their visible inner and exterior bath material.
